Welcome to New Castle, a historic yet flourishing town that we know as authentically Colorado.
This special place in western Colorado is literally minutes away from hiking, biking, fishing and golfing. New Castle is situated in a terrific part of the state just an hour or so from world-class skiing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, climbing and beautiful high-mountain scenery.
Our town is not only authentic in its mining and pioneer history but authentic in its warm and modest people. We are a genuine, relaxed, blue jeans kind of community.
We can drive an hour to enjoy the regional hotspots of Aspen or Vail, but down valley in New Castle we enjoy more affordable prices and a small-town atmosphere. Here you will find a wide variety of new and established residential opportunities as well as a solid business community that welcomes growth through storefront opportunities, commercial lots and home-based ventures.
We have strong schools with great teachers, including a state-ranked high-achieving elementary, and a wide range of services in town from a bank to a health club to medical clinics.

New Castle is active with sports leagues, clubs and committees, churches, artists, volunteer projects, senior services and special events.
We receive plenty of sunshine to enjoy our town parks, trails, nearby state parks and regional public lands.
We may still be a small town to some at a current population of 3,400 and growing, but we are proud to be authentically Colorado.
The New Castle Chamber of Commerce plays a key role in town from promoting businesses, to providing networking opportunities, to hosting a variety of chamber and community events.
