Business After Hours
What a great way to start the New Year - lots of new faces joined our members at the Business after Hours in January; welcoming around 45 guests to our new location.
Talking to people at the event, it seems for many of us this year has started with a bang. "Things are picking up," was a common comment, so it looks like the economy is finally on the rise.
The overwhelming interest in the Chamber and the upcoming board positions was very exciting. The election process should start February 8th and announcement by the 15th, so be watching for your ballot to arrive soon.
We welcomed a new member that evening: Tracy Forristall, CPA PC.
Tracy was born and raised in northeastern Colorado on a wheat farm where her family still resides today. She graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. Prior to opening her practice in 2010, Tracy has worked with companies from both angles as a Chief Financial Officer/Controller and in public practice as an Auditor/Tax Preparer, which has given her a diverse and thorough understanding of what it takes to run a small business. Some of her public accounting experience includes working for Aspen's premier accounting firm Reese Henry & Company, and one of the top accounting and consulting firms in the Midwest, Kennedy & Coe, LLC. She was also the Chief Financial Officer of Wray Community District Hospital which was managed by Banner Health Systems and the Controller of Timbers Resort Management, LLC, an international luxury resort development company based out of Carbondale, Colorado.
